Dave holds a Bachelor of Honours in Accounting that he obtained from Rhodes University in 1989.

Dave is a qualified chartered accountant who completed his articles at one of the Big Five international audit firms, before joining the South African Revenue Services (SARS) for two years and then starting his private practice offering auditing, accounting, tax, and advisory services.

After 12 years in private practice, he took up the position of Financial Director of a JSE-listed Platinum Group Metals (PGM) producer until the company was delisted in 2020. During this time, he successfully oversaw the acquisition of a major steel producer, in addition to overseeing all JSE reporting requirements.

In 2008 he joined the Moti Group of Companies, and since then, he has gained extensive experience in the ferrochrome smelting industry and chrome concentrate production. Currently, he is involved in the day-to-day running of the Moti Group’s PGM beneficiation business.
