Dondo Mogajane
Chief Executive Officer
Celebrated for his leadership skills and financial acumen, Dondo Mogajane worked in public service for over 23 years. Within the National Treasury, he worked his way through the ranks to Director-General, serving for five years before joining as CEO of the Moti Group of Companies in 2022.
During the early stages of his career, Dondo served as a part-time lecturer at the University of Durban Westville, and he later also worked at the World Bank in Washington DC as a Senior Advisor to the Executive Director responsible for Africa Group 1 countries.
In 2000, Dondo was then appointed as Deputy Director of Finance Operations and Human Resource Management with the Environmental and Development Agency, an NGO. During his tenure, the agency focused on development in rural areas, improving sustainable livelihoods in local communities, and providing extensive support to small-scale farmers in the Eastern Cape, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga.
In addition to his current duties as CEO of the Moti Group, Dondo is also serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), Chairman of the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Development Bank (BRICS).
He holds four impressive qualifications from reputable tertiary institutions, including a bachelor’s degree in administration and public finance, and a master’s degree in public management.
