Growing up with an innate passion for business and a drive to succeed, Mikaeel was on a trajectory to becoming a successful entrepreneur and businessman from a young age.

At the age of just 16 years old, he got involved in the operations of the Moti Group of Companies as the owner of Super M Auto Investments (Pty) Ltd, a motor vehicle rental company. The company thrived under his leadership and had more than 80 active accounts and a book value of over $1 million at its peak. At 19, he invested in East Rand Containers (Pty) Ltd, a container conversion and specialist construction company. In only four years, the company grew into one of the biggest players in the construction industry and today boasts a net worth of over $8 million.

With a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Africa, Mikaeel is currently Executive Director of the Moti Group of Companies where he is involved with operations, financial planning, and strategy development for various assets. He is particularly involved in the day-to-day operations of the Kilken Imbani Joint Venture, a platinum tailings treatment facility located at the Anglo Platinum Amandelbult Mine. Other assets under his purview include motor fleet, aviation, insurance, security, treasury, and other sundry functions in the management of the day-to-day operations of Moti Group.
